With a height of 135 meters, Montevideo's Hill is the highest point of the city. On its top, it holds a military fort called Fortaleza General Artigas, which construction was finished in 1811, a key year in the history of our country.
Inside of it, there is a lighthouse -the first one in the River Plate- and a military history museum. At the bottom of the hill, you can find beautiful places not to be missed such as Vaz Ferreira Park, the seafront and the Cerro beach.
The hill summit offers a commanding view of the bay of Montevideo.
